Before approving the product specification
- Specify the complete fuel standard and end use. Sulfur content alone does not establish compliance with all EN 590 requirements.
- State the season and destination climate; agree the required cold-flow properties for delivery and storage.
- Confirm receiving-tank compatibility, sampling arrangements and the batch COA acceptance criteria before dispatch.
How to compare supply quotations
Compare quotations on the same product specification and delivery basis. A lower price per tonne may cover a different grade, packaging or transport scope.
For diesel, specify the complete fuel standard as well as sulphur content. A 10 ppm sulphur limit alone does not establish full EN 590 compliance. Include seasonal requirements and the receiving facilities.
| Check | Information to align |
|---|---|
| Product and analysis | Request the agreed specification, test methods and batch COA. Confirm product origin and the supplier’s role. |
| Quantity and packaging | State total and monthly tonnage, packaging, net weight and unloading facilities. |
| Delivery and price scope | Provide the receiving address or rail terminal, required date and preferred Incoterm. Ask which freight, customs and unloading items are included. |
| Documents and acceptance | Agree which COA, TDS, SDS and shipment documents apply, and how sampling and acceptance will be handled. |
Stock, route feasibility, lead time, price and document availability are confirmed in the written offer for each order.
