Before approving the product specification
- SN150 and SN500 are grade designations: approve the actual viscosity values and test temperatures for your formulation.
- Compare viscosity index, flash point and pour point using the same methods and units; review a representative sample when required.
- Agree the batch acceptance limits and packaging cleanliness before confirming the order.
How to compare supply quotations
Compare quotations on the same product specification and delivery basis. A lower price per tonne may cover a different grade, packaging or transport scope.
For SN150 and SN500 base oils, compare viscosity at the agreed temperatures, viscosity index, flash point and pour point against the buyer’s formulation requirements. Request the applicable batch analysis.
